Freaky Friday: The Musical
I worked with a team of designers (Jensen Sledd & Kaitlyn Trussell) to create promotional assets for the musical, Freaky Friday. The plot of the musical revolves around a mother and daughter swapping places due to a magical hourglass.
When designing the hourglass illustration for the center of the poster, I chose to incorporate the show's title into the poster graphic, rather than on top. To go with the shape of the hourglass, I hand-drew the bubble letters with the pencil tool in Illustrator. This lettering gave a very youthful, quirky feeling to the poster that was in line with the tone of the show.
